Cookie Policy

This policy explains what cookies LitecoinRate uses, why, and how you can control them — in line with UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They're widely used to make sites work, remember your preferences, and — where you allow it — to measure usage or show relevant advertising. Similar technologies (like local storage) are covered by this policy too.

Manage your preferences

You can accept, reject, or customise non-essential cookies at any time using the banner shown on your first visit, or by selecting in the footer of every page.

Cookies we use

CategoryExample cookiesPurposeDuration
Strictly necessary lcr-theme, lcr-consent-v1 (stored in local storage, not a traditional cookie) Remembers your light/dark mode choice and your cookie consent decision. Cannot be switched off. Until cleared by you
Analytics (optional) e.g. _ga, _gid if analytics is enabled Helps us understand aggregate site usage so we can improve content and performance. Only set if you consent. Up to 2 years
Advertising (optional) e.g. IDE, test_cookie, __gads/__gpi set by Google AdSense Used by Google to serve and measure adverts, and — only if you opt in — to personalise them. Only set once Google's tag loads with your consent signal. Up to 2 years (set by Google)

Exact cookie names, providers and durations set by Google AdSense can change and are documented by Google directly at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

Consent Mode and non-personalised ads

We use Google's Consent Mode to tell Google tags (such as AdSense) what you've consented to. By default, advertising and analytics storage are set to "denied" until you make a choice. If you reject advertising cookies, ads may still be shown, but on a non-personalised basis where supported, and without advertising cookies being set for personalisation purposes.

This site uses Google AdSense's Auto ads feature, which lets Google automatically choose ad formats and placements on the page, using the same cookies and consent signals described above — no separate cookie category applies to Auto ads.

Opting out of personalised advertising

Besides using the controls on this site, you can opt out of personalised advertising directly with Google and other ad networks:

How to control cookies in your browser

In addition to the controls on this site, you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works (for example, your theme or consent choice may not be remembered).
